Obituary: Voris D. Dibben, 71, Kansas City, MO, Platte County, passed away September 28, 1997, at his home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m.
Wednesday, at Newcomer's White Chapel Funeral Home; burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, at the chapel.Memorial contributions may be made to the Liberty Hospital Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
Voris was born in Buffalo, MO. He was a Navy veteran of WWII.
He was founder of Windsor Overhead Doors, Inc. He retired in 1991, as President of the company. Voris was an avid sportsman. He served as a Director of the Platte County Farmers Sportsmen's Club. He was a past member of the Missouri Trout Fisherman's Association. In 1959, Voris got the first legal buck in 100 years with a bow and arrow in Platte County.He was a member of the Carpenter's Local 61 for 48 years. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Marian Dibben, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Michael & Beth Dibben, Smithville, MO; daughter and son-in-law, Janice and John Alexan - der, Lake Waukomis, MO; brothers, Venard Dibben and John Dibben, both of Kansas City, MO, and Bradley Dibben, Smithville, MO; sisters, Violet Pabst, Doris Peterson and Dolly Bugbee, all of Kansas City, MO; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
